Four girls in year 8 placed 6th in all of Wales for the CyberFirst Girls Competition. Because of this they were asked to attend a Gala event in the ICC (part of the Celtic Manor) on February 12th.
The girls took part in further coding competitions and attended a 3 course meal in the evening. They recorded a podcast for BT ‘s ‘Pass the Mic’ show about being a girl in STEM and they each took home an Amazon voucher and loads of free goodies.
During the evening, Miss T Butler was also awarded overall Team Leader for Wales this year, which was fantastic!
They were really spoilt and it was well deserved for all of their hard work! We are extremely proud of them all! Great work girls!
