Gowerton School celebrates its 125 year history working tirelessly with its present pupils and preparing for our future Gowertonians. We provide a wide range of opportunities both within and beyond the curriculum. Achievement of all kinds is valued and celebrated.
Having taught at Gowerton school for over 30 years I understand the importance of a caring inclusive safe environment for the pupils to strive, thrive, and achieve.
Our motto ‘Mi Ddylwn Mi Allaf, Mi Fynnaf’ is always at the centre of our thinking in addition to the four purposes of the new curriculum for Wales.

Our School
Established in 1896 Gowerton School’s catchment area include the North Gower Partnership Primary Schools; Gowerton Primary, Penclawdd, Penyfro, Llanrhidian and Waunarlwydd. We are an 11-19 school, currently of 1200 pupils, approximately 140 of these being 6th Form students. The school was judged by Estyn in 2017 – ˜Standards of well-being are exceptional and contribute to the high standards that pupils achieve’.
The school aims to provide an ordered, caring environment in which all pupils are given equal opportunities to develop their talents to the fullest possible extent.
Pupils are also encouraged to be aware of their responsibilities to themselves, other people and their environment. This education should equip Gowerton pupils to take their place in society in a responsible and caring manner, able to contribute and play a major part throughout their lives in the continuing tradition of Gowerton School.
