🎹 What an incredible day at our Piano Masterclass as part of the Gower Festival!
We were honoured to host this inspiring event, welcoming talented young pianists from schools across Swansea. Renowned pianist and accompanist Gordon Back led the masterclass, sharing his expertise and encouraging each performer.
Students from Gowerton, Gŵyr, Bishopston, Bishop Gore, Olchfa and Ffynone had the opportunity to perform on a beautiful Steinway piano, specially hired for the occasion. We were especially proud of Gowerton School’s John Amos-Brown (Year 8), who gave a wonderful performance of a Mozart work.
The day was made even more special by a visit from the President of the Gower Festival, Sir Karl Jenkins, and his wife, Carol Barratt, who generously spent time with the pupils, offering fascinating insights into the world of professional music.
It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for everyone involved, and we are grateful to the Gower Festival and all those who made this memorable event possible. 🎶✨
