Girls into STEM with CyberFirst!
On Friday 26th June, 16 enthusiastic girls from Years 9 and 10 attended a fantastic Girls into STEM event.
The students had an amazing day taking part in a range of hands-on activities designed to inspire the next generation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Activities included:
– Designing seat belts with women in mind and exploring how engineering can create safer products for everyone
– Taking part in exciting Cyber Security challenges and problem-solving activities
– Building and testing electrical circuits
The event provided a fantastic opportunity for our students to work alongside industry professionals, develop new skills and discover the wide range of career opportunities available within STEM fields.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising such an inspiring event. Our students represented the school brilliantly and returned full of enthusiasm, confidence and new ideas for the future!
