DEPARTURE TIME
We will be meeting at Penllergaer Services on Thursday 5th March at 06:00 for a prompt 06.30 departure. Staff will be at the services from 05:30.
We politely ask parents/carers not to park in the allocated coach bays at Penllergaer Services as this is the safest place for us to load pupils and luggage. For safety, please keep all luggage and children on the pavement and not allow them to overspill onto the roads/carpark.
Passports.
All pupils will need their passports, which will need to be handed to a member of staff when boarding the coach.
Medication.
Any medication should be in a bag clearly labelled with the pupils’ names.
If any pupils require travel medication, please ensure these are taken before boarding the coach.
Travel Belongings
Any items that pupils wish to take on the coach with them must be kept in a bag. The coaches do have chargers built in, these may be in either USB-B OR USB-C form, we advise packing both. Pupils are also advised to bring portable chargers for use in the parks.
Pupils can bring a small pillow or blanket with them for the journey; the coaches will be with us for the entire weekend. Pupils can bring food/snacks for the journey.
Wet Weather
The weather reports are forecasting rain on and off for both days in the park We would advise waterproof trainers – not fabric/mesh trainers. Two pairs if available in case one pair gets very wet the first day. A waterproof jacket will be necessary.
FERRY CROSSINGS
Dover to Calais Crossing
We will be checking into Dover port at 12.40 on the Thursday afternoon for our crossing on the P&O Ferry at 14.40. Pupils will be provided with a food voucher for a free meal on the ferry. We will then travel from the ferry terminal, heading straight to the hotel. We will plan to have one French service stop along the way for pupils to buy food that evening.
Calais to Dover Crossing
We will be travelling on the Eurotunnel and should check in at 03.05. We will stop early morning for food in a UK service station. We hope to be back in Penllergaer services at 08.30-09.00 – please be there waiting for pick up.
Please keep an eye on our social media channels/school website as we will be using this to post any travel updates.
Meal Vouchers
Pupils will be issued with meal vouchers for a meal on Friday and Saturday teatime. Pupils will be able to buy a meal from one of the fast-food outlets in the park using the voucher.
Staff on Duty in the Park
There will always be members of staff available based at Casey’s Corner Cafe in the park should pupils require anything.
Disneyland Paris App
Pupils can download the Disneyland Paris App from the Apple/Google store which will allow them to fast-track a selection of rides for a fee and can store their tickets electronically for entrance in and out of the park for the weekend.
