Here are a few important notices to consider before September.
School Essentials Grant
The grant is open to all pupils who are in receipt of free school meals and can help with the cost of school uniform and other school resources. (Pupils on Universal FSM or TP FSM are NOT eligible for the grant). Examination results days
AS/A Level results day – Thursday 14th August (8.30-11am)
GCSE results day – Thursday 21st August (8.30-11am)
School Bus passes
Bus passes, for pupils eligible for free school transport, will be given out in the first week of school, however pupils are able to travel on the school buses without them in the first week.
September arrangements
The first day back for pupils in Years 7-11 is Tuesday 2nd September.
6th form enrolment takes place on Tuesday 2nd September at 9am

Uniform
We thank parents in advance for supporting us in our work to keep the standard of uniform high.
The school uniform section on the website gives details of our uniform. Towards the end of term there were many pupils not in appropriate footwear. We hope that over the summer all pupils will have appropriate black footwear. This can include black trainers. We want pupils to be comfortable in their footwear.
A reminder that leggings are not a part of school uniform. We are also concerned about the short length of some skirts. Uniform should be appropriate for the learning environment.
We are looking forward to welcoming Year 7 in their new navy polo shirts for 2025. A reminder that the navy hooded top is not a part of the uniform for Year 7 pupils.
Mobile phones
A reminder that mobile phones should be turned off and in pupils’ bags from 8.40am – 3pm.
Equipment
Pupils should have basic equipment – a school bag, pen and pencil.
Canteen
For pupils to access the canteen for food from 8am – 8.30am, break or lunchtime the iPay accounts must be activated and topped up. We are a cashless school so please ensure your iPay accounts are topped up ready for September.
Timetables
Pupils’ timetables will be given out by form tutors on Tuesday 2nd September.
INSET Days confirmed for 2025/26
The following days will be in service training days for staff.
Pupils do not attend school on these days.
