Our final day has been spent on a tour of the Somme. We visited Thiepval Memorial and Cemetery, Caterpillar Valley, Delville Wood, Mametz Wood, Flatiron Copse Cemetery and Lochnagar Crater. We paid our respects to 6 Gowertonians who lost their lives in this area. Captain Glwndyr Andrews, Lance Corporal Owen Jenkins, Gomer Jones, Reginald William Bamford Jones, Edward John Jones and William Myrddin Jones.

We are aiming to be arriving back at approx 23:45 at Penllergaer Services. Any changes students will let parents know.
